Common questions.
Why is the IP held by a separate company?
Keeping software, data models, and brands in one holding company gives every asset a clear owner and a clean chain of title. Operating companies, partners, and users then receive exactly the rights they need through a license, and the underlying assets stay protected if any one business changes.
I already subscribe to NM Data Studio. Do I need a separate license?
No. Your subscription terms are your license to use the platform. You only need a separate agreement if you want to go beyond them — for example, redistributing data, embedding tools in your own product, or using a brand.
Does submitting an inquiry grant me any rights?
No. Rights are granted only by a written license agreement signed by W Espinoza Group and the licensee. Information on this site is a general overview, not an offer or legal advice.
Can I cite or screenshot a platform in a report or news story?
Brief citation, commentary, and reporting with clear attribution to the source generally don't require a license. For bulk reproduction, commercial reuse, or anything that could look like an endorsement, reach out first.
Are there terms for nonprofits, tribal governments, or public agencies?
Yes. Public-sector and research licenses are scoped to the program or study, and can be structured to fit grant and procurement requirements. Tribal and Pueblo data is only ever handled under an agreement with that nation.
Can I use The Land of Entanglement name for my own event?
Only with a brand license. A U.S. trademark application for the mark is pending. Brand licenses cover approved uses, brand standards, and review of materials so the name keeps meaning the same thing wherever it appears.
